Luv2Dance is owned and operated by Meg Harter and her daughter, Michelle Rau. They opened up the "Luv2Dance" studio in Modesto, California in July 2010 and currently offer classes in tap dance (ages 3 to adult & special needs) and hip hop (ages 5 to adult). Both Meg and Michelle share their enthusiasm, talent and experience for dance and love teaching dance to children, teens and adults.
"Dancing is great exercise, a lot of fun and important in developing confidence and health, especially in the lives of children", quotes Michelle.
Luv2Dance has an annual Dance Recital featuring all their students in performances and participates in performing at various locations throughout the year, including city parades & retirement centers.
Meg Harter (Owner/Tap Instructor) Meg Harter started dancing at age 3, with the Bay Area renown, Benny Smith and Glenn Shipley. She continued her dancing as a teenager with "The Red Shoes Dance Studio" in Millbrae, taking baton, ballet, jazz and tap. As an adult, Meg studied under "The Terry Smith Dancers" and "Eastwood's Dance Legacy", participating on the competition team for 10 years. Some of the awards the team received were: numerous 1st Place Gold, High Point Overall, and Las Vegas Nationals. Meg is a certified tap instructor with the Dance Masters of America. Meg owned the dance studio "Hooked on Dance" for the last 3 years in Hughson,CA and just recently opened the Luv2Dance studio in Modesto, CA!
Michelle Rau (Co-Owner/Hip Hop Instructor)
Michelle Rau also started dancing at age 3 at various dance studios in the Bay Area. She studied tap dance under Terry Smith and jazz dance under Jackie Eastwood. Michelle has participated in various state competitions for 10 years, winning numerous awards, including the Grand Award. Michelle has over 5 years of experience in teaching jazz and hip hop.
